The Royal Air Forces Association is the charity that supports the RAF family. From an injured airman fighting to get back on his feet, to a child missing a parent working away from home, to a WWII veteran in need of companionship, the Association is there.
The Association is looking for a volunteer coordinator, who is articulate, confident, a good people person and is able to motivate others. To help us recruit volunteers for a wide variety of exciting volunteering roles. The Association is split into four geographical areas and the coordinator will join an experienced team, taking responsibility for recruitment of volunteers in the Association’s Northern Area and responding to any volunteering enquiries.
Working for the Volunteer Manager and alongside the area team, the Area Volunteer Coordinator will provide networking, publicity, and administrative services for all regional volunteering activities. They will help us to build contacts with the local communities within their region and undertake recruitment events and talks from which we will recruit volunteers.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in volunteering and an appreciation of the value of volunteers, be Office 2010 or higher proficient, have previous administrative experience and have experience of recruiting and/or managing volunteers (or be willing to learn). In addition, experience of organising interesting and interactive events or talks will be helpful.
